Artyom: Sure. I’m Artyom and I’m acting like a CFO at Zone of Avoidance. I have more than 7 years of experience in the financial industry, specifically in risk management, internal audit and controls, due diligence. My life in crypto started in 2020 when I realized that it would be the future development of global economy. The latest trends relating to NFT and P2E piqued my interest and I decided to contribute my skills and experience in the Zone of Avoidance project.
My core responsibilities at ZoA are financial modelling, in-game tokens flows and project tokenomics in general.
There are four of us in the core team, two senior blockchain developers, a team of community managers as well as some external marketing teams we work closely with. Most of us in the core located in European countries, but the wider ZoA team are located all around the world.
The main target of ZoA is to entertain players. This is something we were very aware of when we started making ZoA. In many p2e games, players need to grind, and grind, and grind. A lot of the time they’re games you’ve played before, with the world ‘Meta-’ thrown into the title. These might be good if you start playing on day one, but very quickly they become boring. And when they’re boring, people don’t want to play.
We want to make a game that people actually willing to play and a game where it never feels like you’re just grinding. Sure , grinding can be part of the game-play, but because of daily action caps you actually can’t just sit there and play and play and play for hours. You need to consider every action you make to progress efficiently.
We want to keep things interesting as well by releasing regular updates and new game modes, and with each game mode players will need to rethink their entire strategy. What works for one type of battle or even one enemy, won’t work for another — you need to always be thinking about new ways to win to stay ahead, and we imagine players will come up with some incredible strategies as they battle their way to the top of the leader board.
Host: 2. Now, tell us About The Game ZoA and its Game-play, what is needed in order to start playing, it’s special features and how Gamers can make the most of it.

Artyom: Of course! Zone of Avoidance is a PVP/PVE, Play-to-Earn, NFT-based auto battler set 40,000 years in the future. Players set off in their own NFT spaceship, recruit a squad of heroes to fight beside them and travel between planets and galaxies on the hunt for valuable commodities and experience.
Battles in the game resolve automatically. The player chooses their squad, sets their formation and watches as the game automatically determines the course of the battle. This makes the strategy particularly challenging as players need to anticipate their foes and prepare both offensive and defensive formations. As we release more game modes, players will have the ability to react to opponent formations in real time, but the core mechanic will always be this kind of battle.
Blockchain gaming has many aspects, but one stands out in particular — Play-to-Earn. The fact that you can play games and earn rewards that could pay your bills is a dream come true for many of us. We’ve watched esports and pro leagues grow from nothing to cultural phenomena, and now with P2E everyone can have a taste of what it’s like to be a pro and earn from gaming.
Zone of avoidance is built with p2e in it’s core. Whether it’s by grinding for resources and tokens, flipping NFTs or renting assets to, players can earn very real rewards for their in-game efforts. But unlike other P2E games, which are focused on being P2E above all else, we have a very different goal in mind. First and foremost, ZoA is fun to play. Second, it’s a p2e game. I think that’s a very important distinction to make, and something which we hope will keep players playing well into the future.
Host: 3. Please give us Detailed information about your Token, asper what we see, one of The Features of ZOA is ‘Strong Tokenomics’. So tell us about this
Artyom: Zone of avoidance is based on dual token model, where players are rewarded with in-game tokens for major part of in-game activities like wins in PVP fights and completion of PVE missions and quests. In addition, the second token is governance and players will be rewarded with it upon completion of in-game quests or finishing fighting season among the leaders.
Below are use cases of our governance token:
- purchase of NFTs at a discounter rates in comparison with other cryptocurrencies
- higher upgrades of hero cards
- crafting of items
- spaceships level ups
- NFT lending (borrow or loan NFTs to get tokens as a reward)
- and many others.

What goes on in this market place and how is the Trade there done.
Artyom: Sure. It’s an internal hub for trading items, heroes and spaceships between players. Players indicate the of each particular NFT (hero, item or spaceship) and other player can buy it. The marketplace allows NFTs to be trade for tokens or other cards. As an added feature of the ZoA marketplace, adventurers can exchange their unwanted common hero cards for tokens.
As I mentioned before ZOA will have it’s internal NFT lending system, were players can rent mercenary, heroes, items for definite period of time. It’s P2P exchange allowing players to get passive income from their unused NFTs without selling them.
Host: 5. Finally, we see you have some Big business Partners and Investors, tell us about these and may we know if you’re open to more Partnerships?
Artyom: Our biggest investors and backers are Digital Strategies, Big Brains Holding, SL2 Capital, Pandora Digital and others. These names are well known in the market. I want to admit, that they are not only financiers, but our partners and backers in different aspects. For example, Digital Strategies has their own guild, which will participate in our game from the first day of launch. We are negotiating with 3 more guilds like Final Frontier, Deep Profit and CGU to supply ZoA with players even on early stages.
And of course, we are open to new partnerships and collaborations. They are never enough.

Artyom: First of all, that our game will be on your smartphone. Everyone has smartphone, so users will be able to play our game everywhere. It is easy to play on one side, but also has an enthralling game-play. You do not need to spend lots of time to get rewards.
Do you have 5 spare minutes? -Play our game and continue doing you activities. It contains popular all over the world traditional game mechanics. We also spend much time on application security. Good architecture, lots of audits and best devs — that’s our key to success.
2. Part of the Features of ZOA is “Space/cyberpunk narrative and aesthetic”. I find this hard to understand, what does this mean and also something about Sci-fi RPG. What do these mean

Artyom: RPG games are usually in DnD genre and we are targeting to focus on really thrilling topics like sci-fi, cyberpunk. I think everyone likes Mad Max and Star Wars and we tried to mix them up and implement at ZoA.
3. I see there are 18 diverse characters on the Zoa. Are there provisions to use my own earnings to create a special character in my own way? Or can I use my earnings to merge two characters into one? Also, tell us how the nft rental system works

Artyom: As mentioned in our WP there will fighting seasons at ZoA. At the end of each season top players will have opportunity to offer it’s own characters to implemented in the game.
If we are talking about merging characters all players can do even in our MVP vesrion of the game. For example, cards with certain rarities and ascension levels are needed to get higher level card with higher rarities. Detailed information how to merge heroes is presented in our WP.
4. ZOA website says its Browser and Mobile compatible, but I searched on Google play store and couldn’t find the game. Has the game not been launched yet or is there a specific site to download from?

Artyom: It’s correct. ZoA is not launched yet. Currently we have demo version that is subject to further testing. Our MVP will go live on early May and all can check our ZoA gameplay by themselves. Please follow the progress and updates in our social media:
5. When you say that zoagame_ is the bridge between traditional and decentralized finance. What do you merge both of those features? People here in the crypto world are tired of traditional finance. How do you implement a creative idea to attract users to this type of bridge?

Artyom: We are building ZoA for 5 months and have a product already, that is passing tests and QA procedures. There is no doubt, that on the one hand ZoA will be fun to play and on the other hand profitable for all players.
